Maybe they should check to why kids shoot up schools in the first place. Maybe there is something wrong with their home environment (dysfunctional families, neglected parents, drugs, etc.), future “anxiety” (job opportunities, for example) and, obviously, underlying mental illness.
Parents should talk more to their children, make sure that they're feeling well and with healthy friends etc.
