United States Postal Service does not run on tax dollars. Postal Service pays into a Federal fund for the cost of pensions for retirees. So, indirectly, they are parasites in that they increase the overall price of the product (stamp parcel etc) But their lively hoods are not dependent upon your tax dollars.
