>The investigation into the Air India flight 171 crash is focusing on the movement of the engine fuel control switches, following an analysis of the Boeing 787â€ēs flight and voice data recorders, aviation industry publication the Air Current reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the investigation.

>The people said the available information on the black boxes could not rule in or out improper, inadvertent or intentional actions that preceded or followed the apparent loss of thrust before the aircraft crashed, the Air Current reported.

I knew there was no known series of events that could cause a simultaneous dual engine failure as observed in this crash besides human factors. If it's true that the engine fuel control switches were turned off, the only explanation would be suicide, sabotage, or looney tunes level piloting. How fucked is Air India?

yes there are, poor jeet maintenance.

Not this time. This wasn't a 737 Max. 787 has been flying for decades without any major events or serious flaws uncovered.

That happens from time to time in aircraft manufacturing. Usually it's to correct flaws that aren't really safety hazards, but, might cause maintenance issues over time.

No aircraft manufacturer can design a plane to survive a suicidal pilot turning the engines off seconds after take off.

They quite literally said in the article they are not focused on a fault of the aircraft, but, on the actions of the pilots regarding the engine fuel cutoff switches. If the jeets could blame Boeing for this they would have done so by now.

The jeets could not have blamed Boeing because the black box was sent to America for analysis.

No it wasn't. The black boxes never left India. The Indian authorities *considered* them to the US or Europe, but they never did and have been downloading and analyzing the data themselves.

Flight 171 crashed due to the toilets being blocked. It happened to a different flight about two weeks before the crash. Pajeets must have shit up the plane hydraulics or fuel system by blocking the toilets with their shit covered underwear after they pooped in the isles.

India are the ones carrying out the investigation. Its more surprising they arent making something up to blame boeing to get lawsuit money. But itd be too obvious what happened with the black box recording fuel valve switches being closed and boeing's lawyers would demand to see the raw black box data.

and has had zero fatal accidents until this. the 777 is also extremely safe and been around for decades. even with the max you can partially blame the pilots because they failed to recognize the issue and turn the system off. a southwest airlines flight had the exact same issue a few weeks/months before the crashes but the pilots knew to disengage MCAS- there were actually at least 2 flights in the US where they experienced the problem but i dont remember the other airline.

or looney tunes level piloting....
YES correct
Airline pilot here, i'll try to be brief.
3 obvious causes of dual engine failure:
Bird ingestion
Severe fuel contamination(or starvation)
Volcanic ash ingestion

Other than those things there are back ups for back ups for any pumps, filters, etc. And the fuel flow routing even backs up each side. Too early to tell but the density altitude was high and they were heavy but that plane can still climb like a bastard. I guess we will see but im guessing they had an issue and it wouldnt be out of character for some dumb jeet to panic and possibly make it worse.

Devils advocate, a dual engine failure in those conditions and right at takeoff, you are screwed no matter what.
