They have produced tons of amazing musicians. I kind of agree about no game changing philosophers (that I'm aware of) but in their defence most of the big ideas have been fully covered for hundreds or even thousands of years. I think great writers is kind of the same thing. They had Mark Twain and I think he was witty but I'm not interested in his stories. John Steinbeck is another of their top guys but I'm not interested in his books either and don't even get me started on The Great Gatsby. So to be fair America had some great musicians and smart people but yes they didn't really contribute much new intellectual stuff but then again it only got to be a country for a few hundred years before it was destroyed. I generally like America but they just need a bit of humbling sometimes. My country is probably in an even worse state though. I think we're all fucked. I wish all Chuds good luck in the coming apocalypse.
