Most homeless are homeless by choice, the ones that aren't are referred to as the temporarily homeless, because we do provide them with housing. You're not talking about housing them, you're talking about enabling the mentally ill and drug addicts.

We don't talk about starvation in the US, because virtually no one in the US starving, and we have no obligation to feed them much less anyone else outside of the US. We hardly even talk about hunger. We talk about "food insecurity". Nonetheless, there are countless programs and facilities to address "food insecurity".

Medical care is provided to the poor.

These are all non-issues.

There are very very few people in actual poverty in the US. Poverty is not a subjective thing. Poverty means you literally do not have the basic essentials of life. It does not mean someone else has more than you. If you have food, water, a roof, clothing, much less plumbing, electricity, an Obama phone, a dodge charger and Air Jordans and a flat screen TV, then you are definitely not in poverty kek.

For the most part, the people in true poverty are there because they are strong out on drugs and are literally so strung out that they dont have time to get gibs between their highs or their mind is fried from the drugs where anything besides slumping over on a park bench is above their ability.

There may be some people in actual poverty in Appalachia and a few other places but these are few and far between.
