For Gen Z it makes sense, some of them are barely teenagers. But millennials? They're already in their 40s, they're basically boomers now

honestly we can pontificate about this forever, the easy answer is they wouldn't let us, and they won't let any proceeding generation either, in fact, younger people are gonna get it worse than we did, because the people who wouldn't let us become the central economic demographic aren't going to fucking let you either, because those people are all still alive and will be for another 20 years at least

>HOME OWNERSHIP A THING OF THE PAST
>Privately owned housing would become a thing of the past. The cost of housing and financing housing would gradually be made so high that most people couldn't afford it. People who already owned their houses would be allowed to keep them but as years go by it would be more and more difficult for young people to buy a house. Young people would more and more become renters, particularly in apartments or condominiums. More and more unsold houses would stand vacant. People just couldn't buy them. But the cost of housing would not come down. You'd right away think, well the vacant house, the price would come down, the people would buy it. But there was some statement to the effect that the price would be held high even though there were many available so that free market places would not operate. People would not be able to buy these and gradually more and more of the population would be forced into small apartments. Small apartments which would not accommodate very many children. Then as the number of real home-owners diminished they would become a minority. There would be no sympathy for them from the majority who dwelled in the apartments and then these homes could be taken by increased taxes or other regulations that would be detrimental to home ownership and would be acceptable to the majority. Ultimately, people would be assigned where they would live and it would be common to have non-family members living with you. This by way of your not knowing just how far you could trust anybody. This would all be under the control of a central housing authority. Have this in mind in 1990 when they ask, "How many bedrooms in your house? How many bathrooms in your house? Do you have a finished game room?." This information is personal and is of no national interest to government under our existing Constitution. But you'll be asked those questions and decide how you want to respond to them.

Maybe in your country, not in mine. You're basically talking 150k GBP, just to get on the property ladder, in some 2 up 2 down house in a shit hole or a flat somewhere outside of london. Lets say the average joe earns 25-30k, 30x3.5 mortgage 105k, deposit + shortfall, while renting 800-1k a month, and sky high bills. Its not exactly a given. Figures are obviously broad, give or take, depending on area etc but the point remains, for a lot, its not even possible, for others its very difficult. Inheritance and family wealth, is proving key to future generations getting into their own properties, either that or you need a 2nd income from a partner.

this. also younger people move for jobs, it actually makes sense earlier in your career (if careers even exist anymore). houses, and a 30 year mortgage, make more sense when you're mid career and towards the end of your career. of course none of this matters if house prices always go up, then you just buy whatever, but it looks like that came to an end since 2022 was the peak in many places.

I had a sizeable trust left to me from my great grandfather. He was long dead by the time I was born so he wrote the trust in a way that in the event I exist in the future I receive the funds at 18. Unfortunately my boomer parents coveted this money and on my 18th birthday they used my naivety and trust in them to convince me to sign it away to their control. They still won’t talk about it, I never even knew how much it was though I am pretty sure it was in six figures.

We're struggling to buy the houses our grandparents bought when they were our age. My buddy is renting a 2br farmhouse built in 1912, sits on 17 acres and a barn big enough to park 3 semis and trailers inside. Owner is selling the property out from under him for 400k. Rural land is 15k an acre. If you live in the Rust Belt, most homes were built in the 60s-70s to be affordable factory worker housing. My mom is living in a 1200 sqft 2br built in the early 60s (still has the original oven built by General Motors). Her neighbor lives in an identical house, just sold for 180k. My house was built in 1962, and the assesment has gone up 50% in the past six years.

All of the new construction in my area is HOA housing editions filled with slapdash McMansions starting at 300k.

There really hasn’t been a generation in American history that has been rug pulled this many times across their entire working life. Each of the above events was on the scale of a once in a lifetime disaster. For millennials it’s basically every fourth year….

Having kids so someone can entertain you when you're old and useless is a lot more depressing than dying alone.
Eventually our "bloodline" will die out and your "legacy" will be just as meaningless as people who didn't have kids.
Get over yourself. You're not special and neither are your broke ass kids who are probably getting fed bologna sandwiches and doritos while your fat wife watches Netflix.

Meanwhile, Zoomers haven't even have a rug to be pulled in the first place.
>Covid fucks up our last years of college or highschool
>Layoffs and shutdowns fuck over people trying to get their first jobs
>Chip shortage and gibsmedats fucks the used car market
>Housing prices even higher than Bubble era, but without the benefits of low interest rates and not having PMI.
>Rapid inflation makes saving up for a down payment near impossible
>Tons of entry level jobs being outsourced to remote workers in India and automation.
I fear for Gen A, who hardly even knew a world pre-Covid, ptobably the same way Millennials feels about us not knowing the world pre 9/11.

Utterly retarded.
Starter houses don't exist.
The cheapest houses that aren't total disasters or an hour from the city are 250k minimum.
Under 30 male income is around 40k median.
That's about 7 years of your entire net income.

Under 30 male income in 1960 was about 5k/year.
Houses were about 12k/year.
So about 3 years net income.

These aren't different houses.
I see houses from 1920, just basic 2 bedroom 1 bathroom on city outskirts and it's 250k.

Housing market was destroyed in 2 main ways.
>jews brought gazillion migrants to pump up demand
>boomers NIMBY'd the fuck out of local regs to make construction impossible and pull the ladder up so anyone who wants a house has to pay their insane price gouged fees.

Underrated observation. Boomers are seriously buying and selling on the "potential" of a house and neglecting the capital that goes into realizing said potential. Not to mention trades are gouging the cost of work. 3 different GCs quoted me 100k to level a concrete floor and add a master bedroom to an existing enclosed space. No structural work. >For Gen Z it makes sense, some of them are barely teenagers. But millennials? They're already in their 40s, they're basically boomers now

Millenial here. let me break down the last 40 years for you.

1992 NAFTA agreement, made it official government policy to look the other way while corpos sent busineses over seas and cemented the demographic decline of the usa from a white country to a white minority country

1994 bond market crisis, this is when millenials first lost their college money set up by the silent generation

2000 dot com bomb, thats when they lost their college money the second time set up by the boomers

2006 housing market collapse
2009 cash for clunkers destroyed all the automobile generational wealth accumulated over the past 40 years
2012 obama turns on the money faucet for ngos/politically connected businesses to compete on an unlevel playing field by laundering money
through programs like USAID under the pretense of propagandizing americans
2020-2022 covid wiped out small businesses, personal savings, ect
2023+ brics nations economically attacking our economic system which is partially the cause of the current price inflation post covid
2024 petrodollar ends because israel cant do the one thing we pay them to do (tard wrangle the saudis)
2025 trump and his tarif games. the nightmare continues

and this whole time, jews have been importing forigners to take your job or are sending your job overseas.

>lol learn to code

did you know microsoft literally lobbied the government to build colleges in india during the 1990s with the explicit purpose of replacing american workers?

Are you a gangstalking couple?
I quoted this Australian TI today for shits in giggles in this mountain resort town I moved to recently when I had to do some errands for my off-grid homestead where I can never be gangstalked and half of them broke down, mostly women acknowledging how badly they fucked up society so much that ordinary guys are being henpecked by the state in the privacy of their own homes all while the pigs enforce it.

It's because all the millennials who were ever going to buy a house have already bought one. If you are 37, single, and paying rent like I am then you just aren't buying a house ever. The number of first-time homebuyers won't pick up again until zoomers start getting married.

1. Private equity snaps up shit fast and locks it down.
2. They got fucked with women in the workplace halving salaries. Boomers did not. Get X was first to get popped with this, but they had free love & rock to help them get over it.
3. Feminism and DEI fucked them again by keeping males out of the workplace.
4. So many rug pulls - degree mills, college debt can't be discharged, recessions, busts, COVID, disasters left and right, etc.
5. H1B visa shit used to nuke American companies with Jeet takeovers.
6. Manufacturing jobs sent overseas by boomers.
7. NIMBY cunts stopping housing development
8. Richfags building expensive shit, not cheap shit
9. Massive immigrant invasion fucking wages even more
10. Inflation, enshitification, shrinkflation

People are FUCKED. And it will only get worse.

Wages have completely stagnated in the UK, and taxes gone back to world war levels. Ideally, you went to the council and begged for a house a decade ago so they'd find you a council house, your neighbours would be shit or completely foreign but you'd have a house.

I suspect the reason Blackcock are buying every house up is in anticipation of a housing market crash (which I am also secretly praying for) because then the houses become affordable, but they don't want that, probably why they flood the country with 'rapefugees', it's also likely the housing market is being sat on in this manner because treating a homes as assets instead of essential living quarters is a safer bet than holding gold and after the crash they can rent it back to us to strip everyone of more cash.

The average house price where I live is so high that a mortage on said house would take 80% of my montly income. I don't want or need the average house, but even a vacant block of land is not much cheaper.

>then these homes could be taken by increased taxes or other regulations that would be detrimental to home ownership and would be acceptable to the majority.

https://think.ing.com/downloads/pdf/article/energy-performance-of-buildings-directive-review-how-banks-affected
>The renovation costs of inefficient buildings are estimated to vary between €15,000 and €100,000 (VEKA & national sources). The required investments depend on the country, state and
type of building. For instance, research from VEKA highlights that for the Belgian market, the cost
of renovating a detached house can be up to 1.3 times more expensive than a terraced house. A
higher share of apartment ownership is also a hindering factor for renovation as it may rise co-
ownership decision barriers like unanimity vote on important building renovations.
This adds to the already existing national variations. For Germany and The Netherlands, the
average renovation costs lie between €15,000 and €30,000. They are higher in Belgium at an
average of €50,000

>On the bright side, this Directive will open a new market of loans and renovation products. Knowing
the future regulatory requirements, financial institutions can estimate and prepare for the
upcoming renovation wave

You must be too young to have actually had a car when that was going on, because very few vehicles qualified. Mostly large mid-market SUVs got turned in. It means absolutely nothing to the market 15 years later. Most of those would be long since off the road by now anyway.

CAFE regulations are what really fucked car prices.

Homes haven't been affordable since the 1970's. The first housing bubble led recession was in the early 1980's. Then the children of the political elite ran the savings and loan companies into the ground. That's why they don't exist anymore. And Generation X got to pay it off even though they were in high school when it happened. Then before most of them even registered to vote Clinton gutted the economy with NAFTA. The Boomers have fucked over every generation after them.

The safest way to get richer and more powerful is to impoverish everyone around you.
Wealth is relative to the standard of living around you, if everyone becomes poorer and you simply maintain your level will a more efficient way to aquire power than getting more money.

If you bought it you sell it and essentially get alot of your mortage payments refunded so you have your 500k back, whereas with the rent option you spent it on rent.

No im not gonna calculate if its better to invest it since that depends on your choices.

Nope. No body else lived through any of that. No body lost anything but a bunch of high school kids or just out of high school kids. It was gen X that paid for that shit. Millennials are starting to seems like niggers. They take no responsibility. Crypto came onto the market. Whose fault it it you didn't take advantage of it when it was like toy money, selling at 2 or 3 dollars. Then Ethereum did the same thing. Then a whole bunch of meme coins. No other generation had that thrown at them. Like it or hate it marijuans is being legalized opening up millions of high paying opportunities that did not exist before. Only cops and criminals were into that business before 2014. CBD has been legalized. In 2018 the farm bill legalized sales of hemp and anything under .03% thc, which opened up seed and clone sales across the country. Totally legal. It's really an issue of problem solving. And if you suck at it, you will pay. Weather it is 2025 BC or 2025 AD.

My parents bought my childhood home, 3 bed,1 bath in 2000 for $125k when I was 9 years old. They currently pay $1800/month, they nearly lost it in 2008 since my dad works in manufacturing and mom was laid off. They went through lots of hoops just to keep it and pay what it currently is.

Fast-forward to present day. My sister and I each make more than my dad does, yet neither of us can afford to live on our own. I had to move back in after I broke up with my ex, started looking around at apartments. In my area, a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment in the shitty part of our growing suburban city is $1850, nearly the same amount as what my parents pay for their mortgage. The newly built apartments are 750 sqft, 1 bed, 1 bath for $2260 and right next to the shitty apartments and freeway.

my mom and I always have this conversation and asks why I don’t date. I think she’s starting to get the itch for grandkids since she’s in her mid 60s now. I tell her because I can’t. Not that I can’t attract a partner, but because what woman is going to want to date a guy who doesn’t have his own place and lives with his parents? Only thing I’ve wanted since I can remember is a decent sized house, a little family of 4-5, a dog, and a gym in the garage. I will never be able to make that happen as it stands, and it’s looking bleaker and bleaker every year that goes by. I’ve lost track of how many “once-in-a-lifetime” generational events have happened in my 34 years of life, wish someone would throw us a bone, instead, it’s looking like we’re going to get another war and economic crash.

In the 90s the world still operated on boomer principles.
You could go to any minimum wage chain and get a job application that was one page and was basicly what is on a driver's license. Fill out 3 and you had a job hired by the franchise owner or a manager with a firm handshake. This got anyone their own apartment and spending money. For a career you just added a resume. Anyone with a career and 6 months of credit qualified for a home loan.
People only had an answering machine they checked once a day. When work hours were over nobody expected to be able to reach you.

In the 2010s employers wanted some survey completed, gathered hundreds of applications before hiring anyone, need a life history, to track you on an app, a degree or certification for everything that used to be on the job training, always require you be instantly available via smart phone, all processed through HR and corporate in another state prior to interview.
That was the result of the great recession. It turned it into an employers market and they began by treating millenials like children that will grovel or get nothing.
This highly impersonal childish treatment to be considered for basic participation in society started with millenials.
Then as a result of giving California and half the nation away to illegals, oh guess what there is not enough housing so now it costs 10x more. Oh and we will also import a bunch of h1bs that make more than most americans and so have more buying power, and they will compete with you over the scraps.
Not hard enough? Lets also have businesses and foriegn investors and giant conglomerates without any of the normal personal home owner risk buy up what remains and rent it out keeping permanent pressure on the market.

No you see millenials started in a society that treated them like children, but not like their children, because they also gave society away to foriegners while doing it.
Then is like 'hey, why didn't you grow up and do what your parents did?'

I have no idea but they can't even afford a normal rentie space anymore. I had to renovate one of my rentie slums to 12sqm shitboxes with shared kitchen and bath to keep abusing the market. Oh well now I get 80x 1499CHF per month from those niggers so they can enjoy the privilege to live in my rental port-a-potty.

I often wonder if it will be zoomies or alphas to just start chopping boomer heads and taking over homes. People did it for less during the french revolution. I don't think there's any reason people won't do it again if pushed. You really think you're going to just have a whole generation sit idly, doing menial shit like making you coffee, and wasting their whole life? They'll come for me too I suppose to take what I have. I'll be ready.

Why could the boomers buy a house for $10k but houses now are $500k?
The Jews transfer wealth to themselves through the Federal Reserve printing $trillions.

Imagine that you have a machine that can print endless amounts of $100 bills.
Print $500k to buy a house.
Rent house to goyim
Collect 50% of the goyim's paycheck.
You own 50% of the goyim's labor.

Repeat.
Soon you own the whole neighborhood.
Repeat for decades.
Own 100,000's of houses
Housing prices are astronomical and ordinary people can't afford to buy.
Vast numbers of goyim now work for you in virtual slavery.

This is wealth transfer from the citizens to the Jews who own the central banks that print money. Enslavement through central banking.

>By a continuing process of inflation, government can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. - John Maynard Keynes

>The governments of the Nations forming the Universal Republic will all pass effortlessly into Israelite hands, thanks to the victory of the proletariat. Individual property can then be abolished by the rulers of the Judaic race who will administer the public fortune everywhere. In this way the promise of the Talmud will be fulfilled, that when the Times of the Messiah have come, the Jews will hold under their keys the property of all the peoples of the world.

>Wall Street went on a home-buying spree. Now, more lawmakers want to stop it from ever happening again.

>Democrats in the U.S. Senate and House have sponsored legislation that would force large owners of single-family homes to sell houses to family buyers. A Republican’s bill in the Ohio state legislature aims to drive out institutional owners through heavy taxation.

>Lawmakers in Nebraska, California, New York, Minnesota and North Carolina are among those proposing similar laws.

Lobbyists are pushing back hard. Call your politicians.

They're essentially cattle for boomers and bankers. Our debt props this fake ass economy up.

Normally the shooting would have started but many of us think fighting over how good the new Superman movie is takes priority.

For what awaits you in the future simply look at Japan, where Lawson’s is renting out their parking lots to homeless people who sleep in their cars.

You can even get a house for free (akiya) in Japan but good luck also having a job.
