There are about 239,000 wells in socal. Check out the blowout in Marina Del Rey when they were trying to re-abadon an old well, almost an underground blowout and not abandoned properly, but dont worry the construction continued. Also, numerous production facimities located in and around homes never inspected (you can download that data as well), oh and the wells no one knows the status of. State never complied with the EPA UIC injection requirements to protect the USDW, significant contamination ongoing. Even the state itself refused to comply with federal and state law about safe injection for the state;s oil and gas leases in Long Beach. making money while violating the law, ask Newsom about that he was on the state lands commission, lt governor, and governor while that was going on.
