I don't really believe the timing, nor I care to look it up just because some guy in shitter said so, but this sort of stuff is part and parcel of liberal democracies. Nobody does nothing if they don't profit from it. Lyndon B Johnson and his lady made a ton of money from their choppers because of the war they started. It's all short-term profits. Pelosi has been the target of criticism in recent decades because of her insane net worth increase directly attributable to "shrewd" investments well and beyond what her salary could earn her in a thousand years. Just because the current face of the problem is someone inconvenient to your narrative doesn't mean the underlying criticism isn't valid.
