I read in the news that the famous actor Michael Madsen recently died from a heart attack.
After reading through his biography on wikipedia, I found out that his son, Sgt. Hudson Madsen, committed suicide a few years ago and that got me thinking.

Why do so many army guys kill themselves? What the fuck is the military doing to their recruits?

Most suicides are due to impulse, like someone is high and drunk and waving a gun around and in the spur of the moment. Committing suicide isn't a one moment decision. People that resort to it often realize this is one of the worst solutions out there, and they only choose it because they either couldn't convince themselves that there are other better solutions out there, or when the lengthy pressure is so immense at some point that immediate action to relief it has to be taken now.

Its hard but if you keep going things might get better.
