The American mind needs to reduce race to skin color, because the alternative is terrifying.
Reducing race to skin color blurrs the line between European races (it does the same for Africans, Asians, etc. but I don't care much about their fate.)
Let me explain, according to that logic, an Irishman is just as welcome into the ethnostate as an Italian.
To counter the logical conclusion of that shitty premise, some have chosen to bring their own definition to "being white" to excluse some races they deem not worthy.
However, they fail to realize they can't fix a dumb premise with arbitrary criterias.
The alternative would be to consider European nations and subnations as entities beyond skin coolor.
Why does that terrify Americans?
The answer is really simple once you take into account how the US was created.
Imagine all these races coming together into a melting pot to create the mutt-race. They couldn't claim to be any particular race, but a vague combination of a few (or many) races.
Instead, the "white race" concept was created, as the horrors of being a mutt isn't something anybody wants to live with.
Reducing race to mere skin color leads to multiculturalism. Once the lines are blurred, it is easy for people to be squeezed into your categories. Eventually, you mix, start to believe others aren't that bad, etc.
Ironically, by trying to create a white ethnostate, you want to reproduce the failed experiment we call the US.
