World's biggest ship Star of the Seas was finished in Finland today and given over to the cruise company. Due to a strike in Spain it will remain in Finland for one more week and palm trees will be planted on the ship in Finland instead of the intended Spain.

the ship is intended to host 5600 guests but can take 7600 as a maximum. With a crew of 2350. So it could potentially hold up to 10 000 niggers

USA has been trying to build 1 (ONE) icebreaker for the last 10 years!
Finland can build 2 every 3 years if the order came in today and even faster once production was up and running.

How come some irrelevant backwater with 5 million people can have a successful shipping industry but the "industrial giant" and "richest country in the world" of USA with over 300 million people can't? Genuinely baffling

It might not seem like much but 4 corvettes is a big investment for our little country and sufficient for the small pond that is the baltic sea. In addition the coast guard is also getting new ships and these are pressed into military service in wartime

At the current rate of US ship building industry, getting those "40 icebreakers" would take you 400 years. So only way for you to get them is to buy them
