I think Trump is honestly pretty racist and doesn't like non-whites, sometimes hates them though he can't be too direct about it in public.
He has decades of race baiting and demanding blacks be executed, even ones who got acquitted on legit appeals. He's been pretty consistent about it and you don't see many colored faces in his team unless they have some useful connections or something.

Nah the west is doing great. This is the best way to drain Russia without the west directly engaging in war. It's like the cold war era proxy wars all over again, but Russia has no proxy so they take all the criticisms and the fall of Ukraine would justify more criticisms and any further escalation from the west as an act of "justice". Russia messed up by failing to overtake Ukraine in a 2-week blitz so they now hold a joker card and they can't go back.
