Russian forces are 80% conscripts. Look it up. Russia especially targets its own minority groups for conscription. Its even more thrilling to watch conscripted Russians die for nothing instead of working towards their own revolution. Russians are utterly terrified of their government and will do ANYTHING their government tells them to. It's a trait Russians gained over time. They are accustomed to being abused wholesale. They actively enjoy living in an oppressive dictatorship.
