To be fair, in Warhammer the people who join or get drafted never see their homeworld again. Sometimes they're used to settle conquered planets and for this you need both sexes. This applies to everything including space crews, so you need necessarily both.

There’s no female guardsmen, marines, etc. in 40k. It’s a hyper patriarchal society and the women are needed for breeding purposes. They begin breeding as soon as they hit puberty. When a guard regiment deploys they do round up some of the trash gutter sluts from the planet and ship them out as camp followers and barracks whores. Their bastards make good recruits for the next generation or they can be given as wives for demobilized soldiers in veteran colonies

The reason they're so obsessed with 40K is that the hobby is effectively immune to capture, at least in any meaningful way. It's not like a TV/movie/video game series where political activists can capture the development of said thing and shit it up irreparably. Fans can just ignore them and carry on with old models, editions, and 3d printing. That's what really drives leftists insane, the fact that people can just ignore them. At least with tv/movies/vidya once they're completely destroyed the IP they can cope by celebrating "destroying something the chuds loved" like it was the plan the whole time. If leftists destroyed GW, not only would 40K fans not be affected, they'd probably cheer because literally everybody hates those fucks and has nothing good to say about them.

The thing that makes this irrelevant is the current day performance of IRL militaries. Women are only in the military at all because physical fitness standards are lower for them. Reading something like Gaunt's Ghosts and there's a scene where the previously all male unit picks up a few women that are immediately as good as the male scouts and snipers just makes me roll my eyes. It completely breaks immersion and reminds me that some HR troon at Black Library sent a memo out to needlessly push women into what was an all male unit and to also disregard the obvious physical inferiority that they bring with them. It would be like a dozen or so random women showing up half way through Band of Brothers and performing shoulder to shoulder with the rest of Easy Company.

those women were scratch company survivors fighting in the Zoican Rubble, the vast, vast majority of the humans in that battlefield were killed. only several tens of thousands of millions survived

the women in those units literally had more combat experience than most of the ghosts, in the most literal sense, the women that were as good as the ghosts died immediately

also, those women were mostly snipers and sappers, theres no reason women cant snipe and blow things up with enough training, they werent doing deadlifts they were hiding under piles of dead bodies and running out to throw mining scatchels at tanks

also the strong majority of gaunts ghost are still male and there are only like three female officers (one of which is a commissar)

Sniper and demo gear is heavy as is pretty much anything involving combat arms. Cannon fodder is one thing but these women are never portrayed as just another face in a human wave attack. They end up as main characters along side the men from the previous books. There is never any mention of them being smaller and weaker and the obvious detriment that would cause to the overall unit. It is just ignored.

40K has a few strong points over magic in this case. 40K's rules being issued for editions means you can just play with old rules like using 3rd or even 2nd edition. I don't play magic but I have impression that magic just has a rolling rule set they add on to or change as needed, which would make it difficult to segment off the cancer. Also while it would be very obnoxious to gatekeep by cards in magic, you'd have to inspect their deck like a border guard, with 40K you can filter the tourists at a glance. You're going to know immediately if some guy has trans flag marines or fem custodes just as rapidly as you'd know if a guy had unpainted models.
