How the fuck was this movie supposed to be anti-fascist? I get the militarism is over-the-top, but there didn’t even seem to be the slightest attempt at making the supposedly victimized bugs sympathetic. They’re purely hostile the entire movie. At the end, when the big-brain bug is introduced, I expected he would give some kind of monologue to give the bug perspective but he just kills the guy, Zander and slurps up his brain like the disgusting bug he is. If this movie is actually supposed to be an allegory promoting gay race communism, it’s possibly the worst writing of all time. It’s like saying the unambiguously evil villain in any shitty Hollywood blockbuster is “actually the good guy” and then acting smarter than everyone for understanding the “true meaning” of the movie. I fucking hate communists so much.

It's a parody rather than satire so it's not actually an antifascist movie.
The director, of course, hated national socialism and made all those aspects in the movie look silly.

Still one of the best Sci-fi films out there. Fits right in with modern 40k parodies.
