I'm hijacking this thread for advice. My game with women has been completely neglected for the past decade. I was really good before, but now I'm rusty. I need to know if I dropped the ball. Just had a first day on a new job and was solo all day with this cute mexican who's a handful of years younger than me. We had some good conversation while working, but also comfortable silence that neither of us felt the need to break. At the end of the shift, she offers to give me a ride to my car out of the blue. I tell her no need, but she tells me to get in her car anyways, so I do.

Did I drop the ball by not just asking her if she wanted to grab a drink & get to know each other a bit more? I'm not really one for hookups and I meet like 1 girl a year I'm interested in. I feel like I missed the perfect opportunity to ask as I won't be working directly with her again and we had a good day together. Am I just fucked? Did I fuck this up by being a retard? I didn't even think to ask her til after she left.

The problem with China's development is that its unlike its Neighbors Japan and Korea.

Korea has reached a high level of income and is still growing their economy to this day.
Japan has matured and reached a high level of income and is now staying stagnant.
However, China, while they did pull millions out of adjunct poverty, has matured and is now stagnant with signs of going into decline. BUT China only reached a medium average income for its people which means they ran out of economic gas before they could ever reach their potential.

I'm sure this is also why Xi is getting his power revoked by the CPC now.

They get foods from other nations. You can't just pick one thing and say all is bad. We import much of our foods from down south nowadays too. Let alone key resources and even technology now. Look at how many Taiwanese and Korean engineers who work in Silicon Valley, let alone with all of the Indians.

Times are changing my friend. We're in a dangerous position with booming national debt and loss of domestic production and lack of domestically produced tech talent. This is why we're still relying on immigration where as Japan and Korea are still against it.

I was in Shanghai in 2013 and the building that looks like the bottle opener was the tallest in the city. The taller structure in this photo was only starting to break ground for construction and still a dirt lot. Probably didn’t finish construction until 2020.
Date in the second photo is mislabeled, should be 2020.
Also more structures were present in 1990. The area across the river from the clock tower is called “The Bund”, and had a lot more medium sized buildings back then.
The first photo is probably from 1970, not 1990.
But I wouldn’t expect an ignorant Canadian to post anything accurate. You’ve probably never left your rural moose-fucking village
