Out of Africa theory gets my vote. Some humans left Africa and gained experience and skills over time while they traveled through different environments and developed through different pressures and experiences (whites and Asian) though they also lost melanin over the long slow journey away from the hot sunny African environment. Other humans stayed in Africa spreading aids and failing to learn basic farming. Basically melanin is left over from cave men days, some groups moved and changed over time while some decided they dindu nuffin wrong so they repeated their old habits forever. Indians and such are examples of in betweeners, still not as developed as whites and Asians but at least they grew out of their mud hut era
