if you have family heirlooms sell them don't keep them because the value is dropping unless very very desriable.
what the industry won't say is that after a divorce, resold engagement rings are almost worthless. a lab diamond engagement ring has no value when resold and a real diamond engagement ring when resold is worth a fraction of its original price.
real diamonds for industry is almost totally over. lab diamonds for industrial use will be 100% of the market in a few years.
