It's probably the electrical and plumbing that make the house so cheap because it still has the old push button breakers, exposed wiring with insulators, and lead plumbing. A huge mistake I made when I bought my first house was not checking every inch of the foundation for any water or sinking or any other structural or support problems, checking the entirety of the flooring for being level, and the roof. I never had anyone to show me so I didn’t know what I was doing and learned the hard way. But now I know with these old houses that these 3 things are absurdly common problems in old homes and can be financially devastating. If these 3 are good, there’s little else that can be a big issue.
