If it was a $5 winning ticket nobody would dispute that the guy giving it to her relinquished ownership, and it was specifically gifted to her

Waitresses absolute despise kitchen help.
Anyone who's worked in a restaurant knows to never tip a waitress.

If someone gave me a lottery ticket and I got a big win like that I'd give that person at least a million dollars--BUT ONLY if he/she didn't want the money. If the person was willing to sue you for it then he can go fuck himself. I'd even flaunt my wealth in front of him and I hope his envy will consume him.

I mean after taxes that's like what? 6 Million? I mean I'd like a cut of it but it's not like it's 6 Billion. All that fuss over a cut that would be like 100,000 MAYBE... Nah I'd say congrats and carry on.

It's more like 5 or 4 million dollars won after taxes, and that's not even delivered in a lump sum, it's rewarded in 1000 dollar increments on a monthly basis. Lottery is a scam.

You can't anonymously claim the lottery in most states, your name gets published as soon as you turn in the ticket.

The first rule of winning money is to never tell anyone. When you do, you will be sued 100% of the time.

If you win the lottery, You get lawyers before you claim the winnings. Then you claim the winnings as anonymously as possible. Then you place a large chunk of the money into legal entities that make it nearly impossible to be touched. Then you deal with whatever comes after that.
