700k+ is a lot for a tiny room. Then again they HAVE to have the hustle and bustle of the big city and that high paying tech job. Mind you this is a condo unit and will also include a huge Condo fee (HOA fee) to stay in.

Probably 1/3 to 1/2 of the mortgage. HOAs and Condo are just renting with extra steps.

I bought a really nice, large, and high end custom build in Appalachia. It’s on a fat piece of land too.
I built it all out, built a nice barn, thousands of feet of fencing, planted a large orchard, I mean I really worked my ass off and made this into a nice little farm. Now my wife says she is bored and wants to move back to the city.

I dunno, take the kids to the park and stuff. Let them see things

It’s boring here!
>so basically you’d do the same stuff you could do here but in the city?

On track to buy my first investment property in 18 months. Maybe earlier if stocks keep soring.

I really believe the best we can do for our kids is leave each one with a house and some cash. A home you've owned for 30 years will have a much lower tax rate vs your neighbors that was bought a year ago. Unless youre in a cucked state like texas

Stock are roaring so I don't mind holding back until im paying cash outright but im assuming your closing costs are near 0 if youre taking over the mortgage so thats worthwhile.

The closing costs on my cash paid house was $800 majority of it was for the inspector. Buyers agent gets the fee from the sellers so its great to have someone. On a typical mortgage closing costs are 10k, thats absolute insanity
