Here are my picks:
1: Easy access to guns and high level of minorities causes crimes, access to guns will never be taken away because of 2nd amendment gun nuts. US will always have more violent crimes than other developer nations.
2: Large population of black people that were originally imported as slaves, this is a permanent stain and cost to American society we will never get rid of. Again, black people cause more crime and net negatives to taxes.
3: US will never get nationalized healthcare, healthcare prices are going to get worse and worse as doctors are pulled away to help care for growing elderly and retirement boomer/Gen X class.
4: US will never have a proper passenger train network like Europe or Asia.
5: Large parts of the US will have climate crisis, such as flooding in Florida or running out of water in Salt Lake city.

The sad part is there will be no solution to these problems, they are forever going to exist and get worse and worse. Its like how there will never be a bridge from Sicily and continental Italy because of the mafia corruptions, and all Italians accepts it can't be done. Americans accept deep down that things will never get better, it just can't get better because of corruption.

why does everyone just assume the government will be like the most awesome administrator when it comes to healthcare
even people who generally hate the government just like shut down that critical portion of their brain when this comes up

literally every other developed country has nationalized healthcare, why can't the US?

Yes, it would involve tearing down the system and building it from news. That's why Europe was able to do it from rebuilding everything after ww2.

Doctors would need to work for non-profit non-exorbitant wages, pharmacuetical companies would need to be okay with fair prices, medical schools would have to stop charging hundreds of thousands of dollars to students. Everyone in the medical industry wants to scam and overcharge the other person, at every step away. We'd have to burn everything and start afresh, then and only then would nationalized healthcare make sense.

Can the system be designed with enough transparency, accountability, and competition to avoid the worst government dysfunctions? Thatโ€™s where the debate should be, but often isnโ€™t.

Civic nationalism. The concept of American cannot be related to an ethnicity as it's a country of immigrants, which means that Americanness basivally just means waving the flag and vaguely speaking positively about freedom and the Constitution. This means that Americans cannot engage in racial ingroup solidarity which means they're vulnerable to ethnic replacement by immigrants.

Second is its obsession with hedonism which produces low quality citizens with piles of debt, zero resilience to hardship, and that waste their lives consuming instead of creating. Hedonism also manifests in the political culture, where NOTHING and NO ONE "is allowed" to restrict the individual's life project, even if this means trooning out and other reddities. A country with mindbroken citizens will have a hard time surviving a conflict with one with strong willed citizens.

Third: a shit empire. Previous empires directly benefitted their citizens in tangible ways. Meanwhile your paycheck funds endless war and USAID abroad.... for what? "It's to defend democracy because if it falls abroad it will fall here!!!!!!!11111111". This is a textbook slippery slope fallacy. ALso, the US is UNINVADABLE if you haven't noticed. So so so much energy and money spent on trying to uphold The End of History and the unipolar moment, which counterproductively creates more resentment, more opposition, as well as the constant domestication of the popualce due to consent manufacture.

Other: the deep state bureaucracy is out of control. If you told me they were enlightened visionaries saving the people from themselves, maybe i could tolerate them, but as of now they encumber the economy and our private lives for what? mostly wokery or defending israel.

Economic inequality, if it goes unchecked, can have harmful effects on society. Kind of like how certain unhealthy habits can take over your body if not addressed. When wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, it can lead to situations where some people take more than their fair share without contributing back, which can create imbalances. This is similar to how parasites affect a host by draining resources.

This kind of imbalance can hurt the overall health of the community, making it harder for many people to improve their lives and leading to frustration and distrust. Just like in medicine, preventing and treating these issues early is important to keep the whole system healthy and functioning well.

If we think of society like a body, fairness and equal opportunity are like good nutrition and exercise; they keep everything working smoothly and help everyone thrive

Tells you everything you see happening is temporary and people are waiting out the end of this term.
