SPOILER ALERT
The opening scene features a room full of children being slaughtered by rage zombies.
The main character is a young kid named "Spike" (spike protein?) who enters manhood and ventures out of the safe village of survivors with his father in order to experience the dangers of the quarantined mainland.
His mother is sick, he later sneaks out of the village with her to protect her from turning. A young swedish soldier rescues them from a horde of rage zombies. He boasts about 'being like a viking' shortly before the alpha zombie beheads him.
Spike stays on the mainland instead of returning to the village and at the end of the film is cornered by a horde of zombies. He is rescued by a character named "Jimmy", who is a spitting image reference to Jimmy Saville, and his band of chav ninjas. Seriously.
The filmmakers even got cheeky with Red Deer scenes shown to the audience.
