We get hit with higher consumer facing costs without a quick fixe ie we either pay the higher prices or donโ€™t get the product.

Chud and maga retards celebrating that a country has a budget surplus is the funniest shit ever and just shows how economically illiterate you all are. Tarrifs are paid by IMPORTERS, so no, chinks or European companies don't pay shit to US, it's the american importers that pay tariffs to the US gov and increase prices of goods in US for average joes to balance the additional tariffs costs. US gov is basically indirectly taxing every murican so then they can cut social benefit and spend more money on military or some other gov sinkhole. US gov, or any gov having additional billions to spare doesn't benefit you at all if it's spent on bullshit.

There are published cases (you can look them up) where the tariffs are being absorbed by the exporters either directly or indirectly (e.g. by charging customers higher prices in other countries). So some cost of the tariffs will be borne by US consumers, some by the exporters themselves, and some by consumers in third party countries.

However, the most important decision will be what the US government decides to do with the tariff revenue. If they reinvest it into the US economy then it will become a virtuous input to the country. Even if you see it as a tax it's what they do with that tax that matters. So why not analyse what they do with the money? That is the most important factor.

Trump is failing to stay on target. He's still spending money on being the world's policeman. He should be putting that police budget into paying off the debt and building up the industry that makes the weapons. Handing a lot of weapons and munitions to the Ukraine is a great way to purge the warehouses of obsolete ordnance, but that's likely all gone by now.

If there's an opportunity here, it's to research low cost, high quantity weapons for the Ukraine. It's no longer a proving ground for the fancy stealth and drone tech. Don't hand out the latest stuff to people who would use it to kill a cow for the lulz.

except it isn't actually a budget surplus and they're lying again. the budget is increasing our debt but tariffs reduced the amount our debt increased by 27 billion, which wasn't in the budget, so they are calling that exact number a "budget surplus" despite there being no budget surplus and our debt is still increasing. i fucking hate it here.

government figures
https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/datasets/debt-to-the-penny/debt-to-the-penny
>6/2/2025 public debt $36,214,400,664,854.53
>7/10/2025 public debt $36,595,101,611,079.13
so the debt increased by $380,000,000,000.00ish dollars from june until 2 days ago, that isn't a budget surplus.

Those shithouse western companies get their profits due to lower wages and no rules to follow, the chinks get to dominate all industries and morons in the west buy the cheap shit chink produced crap and then morons cry because their dildo 5000 is now double the price due to import tariffs, but of course the chinks will eat the cost anyway because they need that market share and to drive out all competitors

Increasing debt isn't anything to do with raking in more income than outlay for a particular month. That is total debt, gov spending is deficit and that is what you compare to what the gov brings in. Of course you can for a particular month rake in a lot more income than another month but overall you will for the year not bring in enough to cover what you spend, think of it like a credit card payment. You might well for a month have a surplus on it, the other months you will have outlays and your income won't cover it meaning your debt will increase. Of course the US will never pay of what it has borrowed, then again that is the whole point of the whole system, the lenders don't' want any surplus, the gov want to be able to borrow and of course the US can simply print money which of course devalues the dollar - all other countries do the same anyway because it is a locked system now.

gov spending isn't debt, gov spending is the deficit which is money received via taxes etc minus spending. Now of course the debt will be what is spent overall because that spending is more than the gov receives, whether 1 month the gov spending is lower than the gov receipts isn't really a big headline anyway, but the gov is going to crow about it anyway because "good news" is how they operate.

Well it is also reality, not theoretical utopian fantasy of how things should be. I am sure the US could easily cut back on spending and always have a surplus and never borrow again. However the system they operate in and also to keep the whole system afloat the US will borrow even if it doesn't need to, just like the US could open more oil fields and never bother about the ME or Israel ever again, but alas that is how they keep the whole petrodollar thing going.

Here is more reality. Countries don't go bankrupt, they can get into massive problems with owing money, go on really expensive lending rates however the system dictates that the lenders need countries to borrow so they are always bailed out, they have to go into safety mode of reduced spending and higher taxes to get back to a level where they are put higher in the level of borrowing that is more normal.

Let's say you want to buy something from Europe or china.
Cut the middle man, buy directly from the distributor
Well you have to pay the tariffs for each service or product you buy.
Now in a large scale. Components, chems, raw materials, machines, items, etc... Every time you increase the Tariffs you are making all those more expensive

As the price will also include the tariff then the seller will be selling it at that price and will automatically be less competitive than other countries on lower tariff rates or non at all (such as the US itself). So what does the seller in China do if their piece of shit is now twice the price? someone in the Us buying a product sees the made in China logo, sees a Made in the US logo and there is not a massive difference in price. Is buying the US made product now bad because they paid more - hence they would have paid less with no tariffs for the piece of shit chink product which would break after a while anyway? Oh supply chains? That some chink produce shit is in a US manufactured car and now you will have to pay a few hundred more or that they got a supply from the US or maybe elsewhere and it's a bit more expensive? Why exactly are people so gleeful that the market is flooded with chink crap and now are literally crying because they may have to pay more if the chinks decide they won't eat any of the costs and still expect morons to buy their chink crap?

Well this is another nuance. The tariffs are not borne equally across the US population. For example, how much tariffs will the Amish be paying?
I think the reeeeeing about tariffs is mainly coming from the liberals because they are the ones buying more imported goods from places like China. They realise that they are actually the ones bearing most of the tariff burden. And it is killing them to pay this tax to the orange man.

People are zoned in on buying cheap crap literal consooooom. And it is hilarious of how pol is so anti-consumer in many ways (whilst boasting about all the shit they buy) but also when their thirst for chink crap means things MIGHT increase slightly in price it is almost un-American that they should have the least expensive goods in the world whilst at the same time having the highest wages in the world. I have to wonder what all these goods that they are crying about are, what the fuck are they buying from China or even what in the supply chain they are. Of course they will then say it isn't just stuff they buy it is what US manufacturers buy (the supply chain) and everything else. But they are very happy to see China corner the market in multiple industries, they laugh that the Chinks are producing EV's for dirt cheap money (well they make them at a loss) and how it would be so good if they could have them which would mean all US car manufacturers going to the wall - another market corned for the chinks

Except I already mentioned supply chains and other factors that things MAY go up in price due to being affected by the chinks. As for other areas of the world the tariffs are lower and are suspended. Trump is doing it to get better trading deals and probably the NATO countries agreeing to increase their defence spending was also attached to tariffs as everything can be resolved with the give and take of negotiating. the question is are you happy for the likes of China to go unimpeded and corner every market when you will ultimately either say "how did this happen" or "well, they were just to strong, too clever, we should have done something". The US itself used WW1 and WW2 to build its powerhouse building on what it already had before that. The chinks were allowed into the WTO only 25 years ago and you see the chink shills gleefully showing how far they progressed in such a short period of time

Most of them just have regular taxes yet you niggers think that somehow you are being scammed
For example, my country has a 7% flat tax on all sales, including imports. Yet you retards think we are charging you 7% of the transaction when that is just an import tax the consumer pays.
Other countries with higher import tax for selective products are just to protect their own production and only in selective products that need the protection. It's better on paper to have a tax to reduce the trade than stopping the trade all together, looks less antagonizing.
You don't produce shit worth anything anymore so you don't have shit to protect except perhaps your oil and goyslop (((gmo))) grains.

The debt projection was increased by 5 trillion though 2034 off the assumption of significantly lower tax revenue not being offset by cuts elsewhere. A single month of surplus isn't going to change much but every month where we don't need to take on new debt and can instead just not take on new debt when old debt comes to term is a month closer to getting rid of the 950 billion in debt servicing we have to do. Some to remember is that debt servicing is about 2/3rds of the deficit. It won't go down to 0 of course but more months of not having to get new debt will do FAR more for lowering interest rates than powell.

Since everything is inflated these numbers are misleading.
For example, some would say that consumer spending has increased x%. However total units sold has stagnated or dropped. Therefore consumer spending has only increased due to inflation.
As far as the tariffs go itโ€™s probably a similar reading.

>why do other countries have tariffs against America?
because they need to protect key local production or risk economical and civil disorder if there is a collapse of that sector.
Like the USA could easily dump and under cut the entire rice market for some of the smaller eastern counties. Yet all their local farmers would be out of work and the country would be at risk of not having food production. So you tariff...
This is a totally different issue than Trump's moronic universal tariffs. All that is doing is taxing Americans and driving costs up...

to be fair, it should cause some onshoring if they stay in place long term. But most people don't realize that this is just going to be a shadow tax that has disproportionate household impact on the lower end of the income spectrum, while the tax cuts will have a disrpoportionate on high income households. tards like ITT will applaud and comically claim that taxes went down despite receipts rising

Here is more reality. If you want to sell a product and suddenly your product compared to others is now double the price, what do you think an importer of that product is going to do? Now if it is the only product available then the seller can well say "tough, I am not taking a hit on this, you will have to". That importer than has to try to sell that in the US at double the price it was before. what is a consumer going to do (not matter who it is) are they going to try to source another cheaper product, are they going to buy it at twice the price or negotiate that the importer and them take a hit each? So the question is do the likes of China have the power to corner the market in that product they sell? Do al the tariffs cover that particular product or are they the ones Trump left aside anyway? And are you happy for the status quo, for the likes of china to take all the market and then they can dictate the price anyway? Or are you a simpleton actually and only care about cheap crap from China and no market interference - despite the fact China is run by the CCP and basically run all their companies and have no laws probably use slaves to manufacture certain goods and can destroy vast swaves of the western manufacturing? Is the bottom line and saving a few dollars your only concern?

You clearly only have a basic C- level high school education at best. Being the economics of world trade is complicated but it's not so complicated that one should be getting as hard filtered by it as clearly your dumb ass is for some reason.
China's and other county's tariffs have historically been for market protection. Limited in scope or in some case punitive in a coldwar style battle but with trade. Like how China crushed Australia's wine production.
What Trump is doing is blanket tariffs and going world wide for no reason other than tax'ing usa consumers even harder, to give tax breaks to wealthy and corps.. We are talking about totally different issues.
Trump is a moron. It's why he hyped up the V Nam 40% tariff, that is only going to make clothing here cost more. While he pitched now being able to sell SUV over there. So american's pay 40% more for fabric and clothing as that's Nam's biggest export. He hopes to sell 60k+ SUV that get 10mpg to a population with an average yearly income of........ $3,600. Great.. Art of the deal!!

it's still cheap crap from China produced under zero safety laws, zero environmental laws so yes it's cheap shit and of course if a number on a balance sheet is lower than the other number a company will import cheap shit. So instead of buying American produced stuf the company will say "hey product A is far lower from those Chinks, my bottom line and profits for my shareholders dictate that I buy that shit". But hey if you are happy to support the CCP who don't care about their own country and also support western companies that either buy from the CCP or are even in business with them then that is your bag. Imports in 2024 were $3,296B. If imports in 2025 are similar, then $255B in tariff revenue would be an effective average tariff rate of 7.7%. Trump plans to hike baseline tariffs to 15-20% and up to 50% on some goods, according to the news. Although imo I think such tariffs would cause imports to collapse in a year or two if implemented.

because it's not apples to apples you idiot.. you have counties with 7m people but the same GDP as just North Dakota. A state with a population of 800k..
How does that 3rd world country hold off the 800 pound gorilla of trade that is USA without some sort of tariff and gov intervention? Other wise we could product dump over almost every industry sector they have.
Mean while you have someone living in North Dakota where the average income is around say 35k or so if I rem right. As in nearly x10 the income of a random person in Vietnam. Yet STILL far from rich by USA standards. So THAT fellow American has totally different needs from a tariff system. The main thing they don't need is a 40% blanket increase in every product out of Vietnam. Making parts for phones and clothing go up due to a regressive tax hidden behind it being called a tariff..
how do you NOT understand this sort of stuff?

Trump just killed the penny because Jews have destroyed its value.

In 1913, the Federal Reserve Act was passed, establishing the Jewish Federal Reserve System as the central bank of the United States.

Examples of what a penny could buy in 1913:
โ€“ A penny could cover the postage for sending a postcard.
โ€“ A penny could purchase a half dozen eggs.
โ€“ A penny could afford a small candy bar or piece of candy.
โ€“ A penny could be used for a short bus or train ride within the city.
โ€“ A penny could purchase a small, everyday item at a general store.

Trump has signed executive orders over the last few months supporting Jewish cryptocurrency.

This is a surplus for the month, not a surplus for the year. The US is still running a deficit for the year. In fact the deficit so far this year is higher than at the same period last year.

The US runs monthly surpluses regularly. They happen every April and they also happen in some other months, usually due to calendar effects. For example, there was a surplus of $49B in the month of January 2018 and a surplus of $89B in August 2024. Source:

again, you're just too stupid to see the over all larger picture of what is going on. Like I know you're also trolling being even in a world of dumb people nobody is as dumb as you're trying to fake right now.
but I'll still explain this issue for others (not you, troll) who might just not have an econ background. The issues with China and the USA with tariffs is totally different being it's a cold war level fight but with trade. USA wants to cripple and slow china's econ being they are using it as soft power to gain influence everywhere. Where as the USA gains most of it's influence with our war machine.
so the Chain vs USA tariff issue isn't the same as say trade with USA and Canada. Yet Trump, being a moron and looking to do a regressive tax on the middle class, doesn't care. He wants to bully and tariff everyone world wide with blanket tariffs despite historically tariffs are for market segment protection only.
Even that is tricky as what should happen is the tariffs come off at some point but in many cases they don't so you get issues like we have with USA ship building. All of this is way more complicated than just hurrr durr USA good that country bad or whatever. Every exact tariff should have a per product or market segment reason for being in place,
not Trumps ehhhh pull a number out of my ass so 50% on everything from Brazil like he did a few days ago

I know how they work because the EU literally puts tariffs and blocks on UK products. Can you explain how many chinese EV's are sold in the US? Now why are Chinese EV's not sold in the US and some people buy them via Mexico? And what do China do to try to sell EV's in the world? They register them, export them as secondhand and then they are sold at a lower price. Why exactly did Canada have tariffs on US products if tariffs a le bad? You do realise tariffs are used all over the world for protection and the US being a consooomer market don't tend to. And it is telling that the seething going on by other countries who are selling products into the US, if tariffs are paid by the US consumers, then why are you seething, why did the Canadian politicians bust a fuse when Trump announced them?

you clearly don't understand why is meant by regressive vs progressive taxation. Gaining a sudden surplus from a regressive tax hidden behind calling it a tariff? As we do blanket global tariffs just means the middle class is being absolutely hammered even more for that month.
a group of people that in many cases are living pay check to pay check and can barely afford rent but hey they paid more for stuff across the board so yaaa surplus...... that can be used to send more money to Israel. Being it's not like it's going toward our health care, roads, education etc.
