Why is alcoholism so rampant in Russian society. Even their soldiers get drunk on the front lines.

It's so bad it effects their national life expectancy. Don't Russians value their lives?

Russia isn't even in the top 5 alcohol consumers in Europe. Reality is different from memes on the internet.

Hard to believe. Skewed stats most likely. Booze stores are near every bus stop (and they have people moving in and out constantly) and alco sections in supermarkets are also very busy.

Although the younger generations prefer drugs as the more cool way to pass out.

Russians don't value life. The reason there is no shortage of cannon fodder still.

Recent stats show that interest towards alcohol is decreasing, especially among youth.

Yeah, plus here every gas station sells alcohol 24/7. You have to go out of your way to find states and cities that make it hard to buy booze.

Just use Yandex maps m8. You can see yourself the amount of alco stores here. I'm from St. Petersburg btw. Also take note, that markets like Pyatyorochka, Magnit, etc. all have dedicated rows full of drinks.

What shithole do you live in where gas stations sell alcohol? In Rhode Island you can pretty much only sell alcohol at dedicated alcohol stores, or bars/restaurants.

>expensive here.
supply and demand. when demand is high so is the price when low the price falls to induce buying.

true story in high school I drank a full quart of Stoly in like five minutes driving to a party in some woods.

>Rhode Island
The smallest state, and a third of it is water. I'm surprised you even have gas stations.
