The financial crisis falls right on his term, and not even at the end like last time. Plus given the absolute state of financial conditions, record imbalances, how long and deep the inversion was, it won't be your regular recession. Something closer to the Great Depression, maybe even worse.
So there's no surprise this admin is already dumpster fire within half a year. And it will get worse, much worse, as the crisis unravels.

Depends on the US3M yield. Powell didn't want to cut yet, he will probably take early retirement.
The next Fed chair will be a MIGA turbocultist who will cut rates into negative territory.

Also, the US can't afford a recession during the global AI race, so they'll print as much as they can to prop everything up.
S&P 7000 will be here quickly. Small business is fucked tho.

it's an extremely accurate recession indicator, with a perfect win rate except once (1997 I think?). Doesn't tell you when the crisis will hit, but usually within 9 months of it uninverting.

The dollar has lost 11% of its value in 2025 relative to the other top 6 currencies in the world. That's why the line goes up on S&P. Inflation and weakening dollar value. Not real wealth creation

There was a rotation out of US markets into global markets and currencies. That's why we've seen the Asian currency crisis in reverse.
Now the market looks 'cheaper' than it was a few months ago. The issue is that the US system is losing global trust.
As you said, asset prices are going up as a result of unrelenting inflation, not economic growth. However, for equities to continue going up, there has to be a continued deficit in trade.
