When people try to think of the worst jobs ever they often go straight to mining.
I think it's an exaggeration but it's worth considering if we're really willing to pay for Americans to do certain jobs rather than foreigners who we care less about.

kek this, china doesnt have rare earth mines, it has rare earth vertical supply chains - mining, processing, smelting, refining, alloying, storage, shipping and handling - china has had whole cities built to do these things - entire universities built to teach generations to do these things, researchers to advance these things, engineers to build them and technicians to maintain them, jesus christ just let them do it for us they dont even charge very much all things considered
