I've been laughing at the "Trump's done for this time!" crowd for ten years now, because his core support has stuck with him faithfully. Through scandal, impeachment, arrest, and in one case a literal plague, his core base has never wavered.
But this is different.
This is the first time in a decade where the majority sentiment on right leaning forums seems to have turned against Trump, unless I'm forgetting something.
Unless he pulls the mother of all rabbits out of his hat, this may be the first time he risks losing a chunk of his base.
He's pulled some pretty amazing turnarounds in the past so I'm not saying it's impossible. But unlike everything that's led to this point, this time I don't see the play. Not even a weak one.
