The public discourse around Israel and Palestine doesn't target Jews in general but rather Israel and pro-Israel Jews. This is deliberate, since the Jewish elite (not in Israel) want to liquidate Israel in order to save Jewry as a whole. The rhetoric needs to target all Jews in general, not just Israel.

This is due to the fear of becoming a victim of the illegal harassment campaigns. They think that they will be safe if they stay within the graces of the consensus filter. In that group saying that jews are bad is still grounds for ostracization so they say free Palestine instead of it is the jews. Many know the truth but are afraid to tell it. So they go to great lengths to lie which causes inconsistencies and misunderstandings.
