Get the narrative going that Democrats created the Epstein files whole cloth. That way, if his team is either forced to eventually release them or someone in the administration leaks them, when his name inevitably ends up all over them, he can just say "See! I told you they were fake!"
And his base will of course believe him.
Trump's one true skill, which the left has never been able to figure out, is being a total master of getting ahead of a story.
