Because Christianity nowadays is the most forgiving and kind religion, that's why almost 99% of atheists came from some Christian denomination background and are more readily critical of it out of experience. This isn't as common in other religions (e.g. muslims, jews) as you become an outcast or die lol, hence the population of atheists is heavily skewed and biased towards former Christians.

This is a incorrect premise. It’s not even how Biblical Christians view the placement of Jews within God’s plans. It’s also not even how Jews culturally view themselves. Being the “first born child” in Jewish culture was viewed as an honour but a responsibility - sometimes heavy - a younger sibling could get caught for something but the older sibling would take the punishment. Likewise the Jews were treated to centuries roaming the desert and at one point eating literal BBQ’d shit to teach them necessary lessons. Not to mention part of the package deal means being mostly apostate and hated by most of the world. So I’m not really sure what you’re jealous or resentful of, because it’s much nicer being a gentile on the surface of things.

Of course western atheists will resent the predominant religion of the west.
