It's supposed to be set in Colombia, so I get why they added black people. Afro-Colombians make up a significant portion of their population, especially the Pacific side of the country. Never watched the movie though. The art style alone is enough to deter me.

Saw this with my family on Disney+. I left after two thirds of the movie to go upstairs and take a dump in the bathroom.

I mean, I could tell where the movie was going and knew there would be a "twist" where the nojn powered girl had the power of friendship or family togetherness or some such.

this movie would be realistic and good (you even get the female empowerment perk for the leftists anyway) with the following setup:
Abuela - Cartel boss - The Queenpin - she controls the entire operation, everyone fears her iron fist
Pepa (weather control) - her mood swings cause droughts and floods to destroy the crops of their rivals
Julieta (Healing food) - family's hitmen go on missions with her arepas so if they get shot they get insta healed
Luisa - the muscle, she transports the cocaine. weapons, bodies anywhere needed. she can raze a village that defies abuela and don't pay protection
Isabela (plant control) - grows coca and marijuana and engineers better strains
Camilo (shapeshifter) - undercover ops, blackmailing setups, can become any competitor or any policeman he wants to
Dolores (superhearing) - don't need to wiretap anyone, you got this babe who tells you what anyone says anywhere
Antonio (animal control) - wide variety of uses - snakes for silent kills, birds for surveillance, predators for guarding areas.
Bruno - foresaw the murder of abuela by mirable who becomes the source of their powers and hid the truth because that's what he wanted, was branded as a traitor and fled for not giving abuela the prophecy

That's how you write a good movie with a good twist
