Man loses Switch2 functionality over buying a used game

Man named Dmanthey purchased used switchgame off the Facebook marketplace, He put it in the Switch 2, and hit "update all" button.

Next day he turned it on. A message appears: "You are restricted from Nintendo's online services"

He proved he did nothing legally wrong by pulling up the Facebook Marketplace listing for games and sended the photos of purchased cartridges to Nintendo.

Nintendo finally agreed to re-open his Switch 2 but said "we removed the purchased and previously used games from your game list, do not buy used next time"

He got to keep those games he originally bought new by himself and which were registered only to his nintendo account and to no one elses.

Nintendo is known for being protective of its intellectual property and delivers harsh penalties to anyone caught violating it.

Nintendo Switch 2 is cracked apparently, and players are able to duplicate a small square (basically like a small thumb drive or RAM) game cartridge, and then sell the original used, while keeping the copy and playing the copy.
Game stores have no way to check this, neither do players who buy used games.
Nintendo has a registration system for the Nintendo Switch 2 for all games played on it, the system get the code off the cartridge inserted in the game console, connects online to uploaded to the Nintendo main central computer, which checks every single game copy for duplicates. to make sure there are not multiple copies of the same games registration code playing simultaneously on multiple machines.

This is apparently their brainiac solution to piracy of their slop garbage code.

Big game companies have been talking for a while about finding ways to kill the 2nd hand market and make everything digital so they have total control over everything. Its funny how family friendly nintendo is the one that is successfully making everything the most shit right now.
