HGVs which was actually what hypersonic missiles used to refer to until russia (followed by iran) started calling everything hypersonic
hypersonic glide vehicle, something iran doesn't have. its point is to give air defenses less time to react by not flying in space and maneuvering in the mid phase to avoid air defenses. it doesn't have any benefit in the terminal phase over a ballistic missile
and MaRV which is maneuverable reentry vehicle
since to maneuver in hypersonic speeds requires a lot of energy they either don't maneuver much or they slow down which also has the benefit of not blinding its own sensors with a plasma sheath
it's more for tracking a slow, big, moving target like a ship
