It’s not just grade inflation taking place, graduation inflation is through the roof. Despite kids being dumber than ever, more and more of them are graduating than ever before. This is why a degree is meaningless now.

damn, 75% seems really low. I don't know anyone in my class that didn't graduate. Granted I grew up in a small town in Minnesota that was all white lol

I think they changed it briefly to go up to 2400 but then returned to the original 1600. Not sure. If so, they probably just normalized it for the graph.

I don't think it's even a cope, it's just a default. Boomers are still pretending they went to college to be better people rather than to escape the draft and decades later we now sincerely believe the thin rationalization from those times. We go to college because that's just what you do.

if we kept the original requirements to graduate the majority of browns in this country wouldn't be able to, we had to reduce the requirements continuously as more come in and the distribution of low-IQ people gets more extreme (to the downside)
