I think some on the left coddled that a bit excessively. But the mistake is in thinking that *everyone* on the left thinks that way. It's a bunch of loud corporate and terminally online voices. A lot of us hate that shit too but it's not at the top of our priority list compared to a bunch other concerns. And it sucks not to be able to express that opinion without being shouted down but I'm not going to change my views on the shit that really matters to me (economic concerns) over shit that doesn't really affect my life.
