The McDonald’s at 2350 N Triphammer Rd, Ithaca, NY got shut down today by the health department. I had a mobile order to pick up through the drive through, went and waited in the extremely long and not moving line for 29 minutes before I decided to just go in and ask if they were still open. As soon as I got in the door there was a nasty smell and a puddle of brown/grey water in the kitchen area deep enough that the employees who were still bagging and moving food were splashing with each step. There were also wet spots in the dining room both by the seating and the soda fountain. I also saw them scooping up sewage water with a large cup into the hand wash sink. Long story short, I let everybody in the store know that, so they could see for themselves. My friend went to tell people in the drive through. We cleared out their entire lunch rush, and multiple people called the health inspector. When I called later to get a refund, after they lied to me in person about not being able to do it, the store said they were closing for the day.

I used to work for this McDonald's, during the height of COVID-19, until my Cornell University Professor dad said that I wasn't allowed in his house if I kept working there during that health crisis. At least he left me enough money to eat here. Their food isn't any better than any other McDonald's that I've been to, but I like it. When I was little I switched from fish sticks to McDonald's chicken nuggets as my favorite food, but right now it is vanilla milkshakes. Today I had a bacon and egg breakfast biscuit, hash browns, and a large coca-cola. The drive through is open 24 hours. I would give this location six out of five stars if there were an ash tray between the two benches in the grassy area on the other side of the parking lot from the restaurant, and also outdoor seating, such as a table with benches.

one thing I'll miss is that I figured out how to hold two burgers in each of my hands while driving down the highway. and I could take a bit from whichever one I felt needed more eating attention, depending on if I needed to use my left burger hand for switching the lights on or my right burger hand for getting the wipers activated.

this is about the health department shutting down my local mcDonalds because they eventually caught on to how horrible it became because they let colored people run the management.

I loved it to death but i have to admit... Absolutely the worst McD I've ever been to. The dining room is always filthy. You could die waiting for someone to take an order. Drive-through is a nightmare--took 10 minutes for someone to take my order (that was once I was already at the speaker). The one on Elmira Rd has its problems, but the staff are friendly and do their best there. Here, they are surly, unpleasant, and incompetent.

also before the septic incident I noticed maybe I should have furthered my multiple visits a day there when the sausage was kind of raw but i thought maybe with black establishment there that it was an african cuisine method.

If you don't care that they charge for dipping sauce. I bought a double quarter pounder and I wanted some sauces to go with the fries and was told that I was going to charged. The woman was rude about charging for it. Other fast food places do not do that especially Chick-fil-A. Very annoyed and will not be going back to this place.

or that once, I went though drive through ordered a Bacon, Ranch crispy chicken sandwich that cost $8.52 .Got almost downtown , unwrapped it and it was a piece of soggy cold chicken with a dried up pickle on it.No bacon or dressing and definitely not crispy. Not the first time the order was wrong. I went back and went inside, stood inline. they did give me my money back but the place was filthy.
