Why is Gen-X incapable of thinking beyond Boomer social and economics paradigms? The recent budget was a bunch of X'ers spouting 1980's-style Boomer rhetoric about bootstraps and white guys needing to work harder to sustain the system.

Why is there such a lack of imagination among Gen-X? The reason the Muslim socialist is winning in NYC is mostly because he actually wants to try new things, rather than simply copy/pasting the past onto the future.

But Gen-X seems to have given up and surrendered 100% to the Boomer world order. They aren't even trying to create or impose their own worldview. Why is that?
