He was a lawyer, not an accountant. His channel unexpectedly blew up so that meant more attention on him and his family. The crazies came out and started accusing him of child abuse and all kinds of stupid shit since he would occasionally bring his sons with him while camping in below freezing temperatures. He shut off comments to his videos but it escalated when people found out he is a Mormon so he decided to walk away from his channel with the millions he made, good for him.
