I think the issue stems from Eastern Europe basically having no history prior to IX-X century AD because Christianity wiped out your entire cultures and history.

Joke all you want about intelligence or Slavic culture but anyone with a basic understanding of history and geography knows that these nations (and Spain) were the bulwark between Europe and everyone and the rest of the subhuman world. The eastern Europeans suffered most of the Mongol and Turkish invasion while western Europe mostly fought each other which, while destructive, was nowhere near the civilizational wars of survival as the ones in the east.

Beyond this you would have to absolutely ignorant to ignore Russia's scientific and cultural contributions the past two centuries despite the societal turmoil they have suffered (partly because of themselves, of course). You are also massively inflating the importance of places like Ireland, Norway and Belgium which have hardly done more than Poland or Czechia.

Tldr; western Europe has a better geographical position for stability and the picture knowingly misrepresents reality.

You clearly don't know anything about eastern Europe if you really believe this. Those cultures have a more intact continuity than pretty much any in western Europe. Just look at it linguistically and compare your language to the old Saxon(or whatever you want to go back to), French to Latin, Swedish to old Norse and then compare modern Greek to old Greek or Russian/Polish/Bulgarian to Church (old) Slavonic. The only western languages that are nearly as intact are the Romance languages such as Spanish or Italian and the Celtic languages which aren't even in use in any real capacity.

Also if you look at Slavic holidays they are almost completely pagan in all but name, which cannot be said for western holidays with a few debatable exceptions such as midsummer in Sweden.
