I first became aware or just how pozzed western gaming designs wer3 when I saw the Diablo 2 remake amazon. Why would they do this? Who are you trying to appeal to? It make zero sense.

Because video games are now being made for women. Everything is being made for women. Men are being gradually phased out. Work your way into the top 20% and be ready for the natural conclusion of hypergamy. My wife already knows and has agreed that in the case of societal collapse I'll be taking more wives. You might not expect this in a thread about vidya, but you can see it everywhere - men are becoming more useless and disenfranchised and everything is catering to women at their expense.
