two days ago pink frothing mass appeared onto the lake

luckily this is not a common swimming lake and people might not go in there

we dont know what exposure to the bacteria would do to a living organism

birds seem to insticntively avoid the lake now

year ago when they made a bacterial analysis it turned out to be an unknown member of acidobacteria genus

scientists recommend that people would try to avoid it eventhough nothing is known if its bad or not

quite a lot yee, the big issue isn't gas from the vent though it's a build up of cyanogenic compounds under the water, if enough builds up and is exposed to sunlight it can cause bubbles of cyanides to form
the same bacteria/algae that produce the compounds cause the water to look pink
