A Japanese government survey found only 26.7% of Japan was empowere by AI by March (March is where the survey ends) . The figure tripled from the previous year but still remained far behind China's 81.2% and the United States' 68.8%.

Among companies, 49.7% of Japanese firms planned to use generative AI at some point in future, compared to more than 80% of companies in China and the US.

are currently too proud to depend on foreign AI (US made, they won't touch chinkseek thanks to global soft embargo). The fact that chinks could come as 2nd (or 3rd including conspiracies) country to develop indigenous AI means that those japs could do it.
