Idk. Maybe they will use their profits to buy up real estate for cheap and subsidize their employees with them to justify paying them less? If they buy enough, no independent person will be able to afford them. If majority get owned by corps, they can monopolize it and price people out.

Corporations should be allowed to own single family housing for a set period before taxes spike to 100% of assessed value. That greases the gears for lenders to still be able to foreclose on people who don't pay back their loans, while preventing speculators from buying and holding to artificially drive up prices through forced scarcity
However, the length of time (6 months?) should not reset until a private individual owns the home for at least 2 years
