Basically if it weren't indeterminate, then every limit that approaches 0*∞ would approach the same value. So all we have to do is find a contradiction. Here's one:
>lim(x∞)(0*x) = 0
>lim(x∞)(1/x * x) = 1
Since these are different, 0*∞ must be indeterminate.

0 isn't even a number, it's automatically disqualified on its own, unless it's accompanied by a REAL number then it gains numerical value.

When some problem is needlessly obscured try to think about it in a child-like way without preconceptions and unthinkingly trusting the learned pathways. So, a zero is a nothing. And infinity is a lot, basically everything. So a zero times infinity cancels each other out.
