>>510411204 (OP) Are the number of green marks on the screen supposed to be indicative of the level of accuracy the scale can achieve? Did you tare out the jar before the fly entered? Is the fly stationary on the glass. >inb4 moved to bant
>>510411696 How do you know the air pushes down all the way to the scale? Let alone enough to depress it long enough and consistently enough to register. The question is what does the scale say not what weight does this area of space have. The air could be being moved down in such a way where it goes perpendicular to the scale when it reaches a place it could exert force on. There's no real way to know what the scale would say.
>>510411696 Sorry nigger, but the scale was zeroed out with the jar on it before the flies were added. Answer is .5kg. Try and be white next life

>>510412099 that's how real life works buddy, even paper airplanes gliding over a scale will increase weight on the scale by the weight of the paper airplane
>>510411204 (OP) You didn't specify the weight of the jar lid or the type of fluid the jar contains. Perhaps the lid is made of lead and the fluid is glycerol.

>>510412097 Itโs not a fucking wave that goes straight down. Wings generate differences in pressure across them. Itโd be small for a fly, and would act on every surface of the jar not just the bottom. The answer is 1kg unless they land

>>510411204 (OP) Obvious trick question. The scale displays pounds.
>>510412951 No it doesn't, the flies are on the wall behind the glass jar.

>>510411204 (OP) 1.5kg. Any reduction in the weight from them flying wouldnt matter due to equivalent downward force on the glass. This is a question for sci, not here.

>>510412992 yea i wanted to say "i never stated that your answer is incorrect" next. but i failed saying there was never stated "ANYTHING" was in the jar. while it was stated there was indeed flies in it. it would have all worked out perfectly if i wasnt retarded indeed
they could be sticking on the edge. it never says they are flying. my ego would be through the roof right now if i didnt make that one, life ruining mistake.

>walking home from school >thinking about this girl i like >life is good >helicopter flies overhead, probably 1 thousand feet in the air above me >flies directly over me >get crushed to death by the downward force of 60 thousand pounds It could happen to you.
>>510414067 I'd believe it. Pic rel got killed by a falling piss icicle. They found her in time to take a picture, I guess, before she was just found run through and in a puddle of piss.
>>510412619 retard the scale clearly reads |||||| in a stylistic paint.exe format. using occums razorblade we can determine that the most likely meaning of "|" is .3 because .3 x 6 = 1.5kg, making 1.5kg the only correct answer

In my experiment I pulled the wings off the flies and set them on fire. How much does it weigh now?

>>510411204 (OP) >inb4 off topic It's not just off topic, it's also extremely low quality.
>>510411204 (OP) While flapping the scale will represent the weight of the flies. If the flies stopped flapping and simply fell to the scale, its readings could fluctuate slightly for brief durations.
