Would have been WAY too hard to sell to the public.
They already got whiplashed from
>the goddamn commies want to steal your freedom
>actually fuck these white Christian Europeans some jap bombed Pearl Harbor. God bless the USSR!!!! Get em uncle Joe!
If we pulled another about face and suddenly decided forcibly rearming the same Wehrmacht men we just fought and then fighting along side them.
We have accounts of US soldiers already questioning why the hell they are fighting the axis and not just Japan as early as Africa and the holocaust hadnโ€™t been cemented as the most important human event of all time forever and ever with no mass killing like it having ever happened ever. So this would have caused a back to back war of the US coming out of it and the public not really understanding why we fought it to then charge headlong into Russia with a none existent justification.

In retrospect yes, the USSR was the biggest pusher of letfoid ideology, and when it comes down to cultural and social values they won the Cold War hands down.

we did war games that showed the soviet union had superior production capabilities (since we leased them a ton of raw materials throughout the war) and it would take at least 2 years to rearm france or germany enough to use as a staging ground for america to invade the soviets. It was a certain defeat if we tried to fight russia since all our logistics and training was based around a 1 year-ish amphibious invasion and then british occupation of germany, not for a prolonged overseas war with multiple buffer states leading to moscow

What kikes and Soviet spies wanted wouldnโ€™t even really play a point.
>Post Great War American public felt they got tricked into fighting a war for England and France which also helped birth 20 years of isolationism
>Second World war only really worked thanks to Japan attacking us and that was already having some issue justifying the European theater and working with the Soviets with the pretty obvious unspoken position of we have to help England and France
>now letโ€™s use a English plan to use the former Nazis we just talked about how important they where to defeat to invade the USSR becauseโ€ฆ.fuck em I guess

No body beyond Holden Bloodfeast would buy this forever war bullshit at that point

The US decided to expand empire in the wrong places for the long term.
Our timeline:
>Effectively becomes europes daddy
>Japan becomes US client state
>Korea becomes the pivot point in asia
>US intelligence gets greedy and starts toppling foreign interests they had no business interfering in (oftentimes at the behest of kiked corporations).

Overextention happens to all empires eventually, but the US's mistake in the long game was setting up export economies in every corner of the earth. By opening the door to foreign nations via open trade eventually allowed for the outsourcing of our production at the expense of military protection. It would have greatly benefited the US to have straight up ignored european cleanup efforts and asia pacific client states to focus on close to home threats such as cuba, mexico, and some latin american countries.

Furthermore, the US global strategic position in the modern day would be nearly identical with none of the downsides of late 20th century US foreign policy. The only potential weakness of doing that would be slightly worse access to resources like oil and rare earths.
