if mexicans are any indication of how genetics and conquest actually works, the conquerors are absorbed into the conquered peoples' genome, not the other way around.
The apples just don't fall far from their tree. Conquering a place doesn't move enough people of the conquering stock to supplant the native genome.
The only instances where the conquest and significant alteration of a genome happens is if the tree settles and completely expels/isolates the former people (the US) or slavery has created a majority foreign population (also the US if its not addressed sooner rather than later).
