The funny thing about Finland is that they are still ruled by a tiny minority of Fenno-Swedes (descendants of the nobles and merchant who came from Sweden to rule the province), who hold a vastly disproportionate amount of wealth in the country. Even the current president is obviously a Fenno-Swede even though he publicly presents himself as bilingual. Interestingly, this Swedish rule was even upheld during the Russian period as the duchy of Finland was still ruled by Fenno-Swedes who in turn answered to the Russians.

People in this thread that act like Swedes and Finns were brothers and equals historically are way off. Finns were a conquered people and second class citizens in the Swedish Empire. Finns are based and have a nice country now, but that doesn't change history and I don't understand all the retards acting like Finnish nationalists are Russian shill for pointing this out.
