US government buying an AI!
https://www.tivi.fi/uutiset/a/7b9750b3-a02b-4920-b3ca-35f443bfaad5

Google, Anthropic, OpenAI and xAI has made a deal with defense ministery.

Each contract is worth 200 million. Equal share for all these companies.

So in total it takes 800 million monies for AI.

These companies agree to tailor an AI for defense industry use and its not the same one given to the public. Or to other countries for that matter.

Thiyagu Ramses said that we will see some concrete AI product by 2026.

Is it part of the half a trillion dollar project?

It's almost like tech burns through more money than it makes until it's reached widespread adoption (see; Amazon, gig economy, using more tokens than you're paying for with AI subscriptions) and then our lives are so intertwined with it that we need it.

Why would we go that direction? Who benefits from pumping money into tech like this? Trump is going to usher in the prison planet

Yes, I know it's been coming. But Trump is the ultimate Trojan horse because conservatives should at least nominally (nominally because they don't actually have any principles, libs are the same but irrelevant here) be against the coming technofeudalism but because it's their beloved orange man and space man who are the faces now, they will rather than oppose it jerk themselves off to it
